DramaWeaving is a powerful accompaniment to any curriculum area and provides a unique approach to strengthening concepts and ideas. DramaWeaving leads to a deeper understanding of the material and is an excellent way to develop listening skills and enhance literacy. 

 

There are several ways we can reinforce the curriculum through drama:

• Create a simple story and characters to act out in class.

• Use process drama to immerse ourselves in an event and "live" through it, creating a deeper understanding of both the event and the people involved.

• Create a play for performance using the curriculum as a starting place. 

 

Whatever form DramaWeaving takes, we incorporate opportunities for critical thinking and problem solving, and reinforcing the material itself including any vocabulary or other skills.

Let us bring your curriculum to life with a DramaWeaving workshop designed specifically for your students.  Curriculum based drama can be scheduled for one or more Workshop sessions or a longer Residency. These workshops or residencies include contact with the teacher so that we can tailor the experience to your student's needs.
